Wireless internet

Wireless internet and point-to-point links

When cabling is impractical, a wireless link can deliver internet to your premises or connect two buildings. Feasibility depends on site conditions and network coverage, so every wireless job starts with a survey.

01 — Services

Wireless connectivity services

01

Wireless internet

Internet delivered to your building by a wireless link from our network, where coverage is available.

02

Point-to-point links

A dedicated wireless bridge between two sites — for example an office and a warehouse — to share one network.

03

Point-to-multipoint

One central site connected to several buildings across a campus or industrial area.

04

Equipment installation

Outdoor radios, mounts, poles, cabling, surge protection and configuration.

02 — Where it fits

Where wireless connectivity works well

  • Offices and commercial buildingsWhere a cabled connection is unavailable or would take long to lay.
  • Multi-building sitesFactories, warehouses, schools and campuses that need one network across buildings.
  • CCTV backhaulCarrying camera feeds from a gate, yard or remote building to the main recorder.
  • Suitable remote locationsSites with clear line of sight to our network or to another site.

03 — Site survey

Site survey and line-of-sight assessment

A wireless link needs a clear path between the two antennas. Before quoting, we check:

  • Clear line of sight between both points, including trees, buildings and future construction
  • Distance between sites and the expected link capacity
  • Mounting height, rooftop access and pole or mast requirements
  • Building permissions for rooftop installation
  • Power availability and earthing at both ends
  • Radio interference in the area

Feasibility

Wireless feasibility depends on site conditions and network coverage. Weather, obstructions and interference can affect performance. We confirm feasibility after the survey, before you commit.

04 — Coverage enquiry

Check wireless coverage

Tell us where you need connectivity. For a point-to-point link, include both locations in the requirement box.
